LPD makes DUI arrests within minutes of each other

LAFOLLETTE, TN (WLAF)- La Follette Police Officers made two DUI arrests around midnight Wednesday morning. The arrests were about ten minutes apart and within a mile of each other on the four lane.

At 11:40pm, Tuesday, an LPD Officer performed a traffic stop on a vehicle in the CVS Pharmacy parking lot. Kristen Jones, 42, West Hill Street-La Follette was charged with DUI.

Another traffic stop by a different LPD Officer was conducted at 11:50pm, Tuesday, at Hunters Branch Road. Amy Cooper, 61, South Sudenny Lane-La Follette faces a DUI charge.

Both women were released after being booked into the Campbell County Jail. (WLAF NEWS PUBLISHED-08/13/2026-6AM)
