Noah Smith for State Representative Shares His Vision for District 36 

CAMPBELL COUNTY, TN. (WLAF)- Over the past several months, I have had the opportunity to meet thousands of people across Campbell County, Union County, and western Claiborne County. Whether at community events, churches, businesses, early voting locations, or simply knocking on doors, one thing has become clear: the people of District 36 want a representative who will listen, work hard, and always put our communities first.

That is why I am running for State Representative.

I am running because I believe our district deserves a strong conservative voice in Nashville that answers to the people, not political insiders or special interests. I believe government works best when elected officials remember they are public servants, not career politicians.

As your State Representative, I will fight to protect our constitutional freedoms, beginning with our Second Amendment rights. As a lifelong hunter and gun owner, I understand the importance of preserving the freedoms that generations of Tennesseans have fought to protect. I will always stand with law abiding citizens and defend our right to keep and bear arms.

I also believe our students deserve every opportunity to succeed. Having served on the Campbell County School Board, I have seen firsthand the importance of strong public schools, dedicated teachers, and parents having a voice in their children’s education. I will work to ensure our schools prepare students for successful careers while giving local communities the support they need.

Families are feeling the strain of higher prices every day. I believe we should eliminate Tennessee’s grocery tax and continue creating an environment where small businesses can grow, good paying jobs are created, and our local economy thrives. Rural Tennessee should never be overlooked when it comes to economic opportunity.

I will also continue fighting to protect our rural communities from unwanted development that threatens our quality of life. Decisions that impact District 36 should be made with the people who live here, not by outside interests.

Securing our border, supporting law enforcement, protecting the unborn, defending election integrity, and eliminating wasteful government spending are all priorities that I will take with me to Nashville. These are not just campaign promises. They are principles that have guided my life and will guide my service.

Throughout this campaign, I have been humbled by the encouragement, prayers, and support I have received from people across the district. Every conversation has strengthened my belief that together we can build a brighter future for our communities.
