It is with heavy hearts and profound sadness that we announce the unexpected passing of Troy Hancock on June 7, 2026, at the age of 73.

Born on March 12, 1953, to the late Jack Daniel Hancock and Ethel (Smith) Hancock in Gainesville, Florida. He and his wife Rainey (Jones) Hancock resided in Bell, Florida they attended New Hope Baptist Church and he was a lifetime resident of Florida. He spent his 46-year career and love of horses as a Ferrier with clients across the country. He enjoyed traveling our beautiful country, cooking, fishing and riding his side by side through the mountains with his wife. He loved his family, his wife, his boys, his grandchildren and his dogs.

Troy is survived by his wife; Rainey Hancock, sisters; Jackie (Doyle) Thomas, Gail (Carl) Summers, and Janet (Ronnie) Parrish, sister-in-law Windy Langford (Keith), sons Troy D. Hancock, Taylor (Kristy) Hancock, and Clayton Andrews, grandchildren; Audrey, Elyse, Troy, Willis, and many nieces and cousins.

A funeral service to honor Troy will be held on Monday, June 15, 11:00 AM, at New Hope Baptist Church, Bell. Family invites friends for a visitation one hour prior at 10:00 AM. Troy will be laid to rest immediately following the service at New Hope Baptist Church Cemetery. 

The family entrusted the local care of Troy Hancock to Martin Wilson Funeral Home “Where Families Matter Most”.
