LAFOLLETTE, TN (SPECIAL TO WLAF) — Tennessee House Speaker Cameron Sexton will address the Campbell County Rotary Club on Tuesday, June 23, at noon, at the LaFollette Methodist Church at 808 East Central Avenue.
State Representative Dennis Powers (District 36) invited Speaker Sexton as his special guest. The event is open to Rotary Club members and the public and will provide an important opportunity for local residents to hear directly from one of Tennessee’s top legislative leaders on issues affecting Campbell County and the state.
“Speaker Sexton has been a strong partner for East Tennessee and our district,” said Rep. Dennis Powers. “I’m excited to host him in Campbell County so our community can engage with him on the progress we’re making on education, infrastructure, economic growth, and other priorities that matter most to our families and businesses.”
Speaker Sexton, a Republican from Crossville representing District 25, has served as Speaker of the Tennessee House of Representatives since 2019. He is widely recognized for his pragmatic leadership on key issues including education funding, infrastructure improvements, fiscal responsibility, and supporting rural communities.
