Strong to severe storm potential looms Friday afternoon-evening

Partly sunny, steamy and around 90 for Friday with a feels-like temperature of 95

LAFOLLETTE, TN (WLAF)- Widespread showers and thunderstorms are expected this afternoon and evening. Of those, a few may be severe, sporting strong, damaging wind gusts and lightning, along with small hail. No tornadoes expected. Pockets of heavy rainfall cannot be ruled out.

A weak cold front will move through Campbell County and the region this evening, allowing for mostly dry conditions on Saturday.
