NASHVILLE, TN (WLAF)- Recently members of the Underwood family, Charlotte and Jo, who are local traditional art practitioners from Campbell County demonstrated traditional agricultural folkways at the Tennessee State Museum in Nashville as part of a celebration for State Day. During the weekend, they met and talked to a lot of people including Manuel Cuevas.
Meeting Cuevas, a fashion designer for TV and movie stars as well as the rock and roll and country music acts was one of the highlights of the day for the Underwoods, according to Charlotte.
The now 93-year old Cuevas, still working at his craft, stopped by the Underwoods booth. The list of Cuevas’ clients and friends is rather lengthy from Dolly to Elvis to John Travolta to Dwight Yoakam to George Jones to Johnny Cash to Kenny Chesney to Keith Urban and beyond.
