LaFollette Library gets new state and U-S flags

LAFOLLETTE, TN (SPECIAL TO WLAF)- The LaFollette Library received a flag update on Friday with State Representative Dennis Powers providing a new Tennessee State flag and the city of LaFollette providing a new United States flag.

Librarian Nancy Green said she wanted to extend a “heartfelt thanks for the generous gestures dear State Representative Dennis Powers and his wife Tracy for presenting the LaFollette Public Library with a new Tennessee State flag.”

“Your thoughtful gesture is truly appreciated,” Green said.

She also wanted to “express gratitude to the four employees of the City of LaFollette Fire Department for respectfully hanging the new American flag alongside the state flag.”
