Accident with injury, traffic snarled at Cove Lake Park entrance

A Campbell County Sanitation truck is one of the vehicles involved

CARYVILLE, TN (WLAF)- Caryville Fire and Police along with other agencies are on the scene of a three vehicle crash on the four lane in front of the entrance to Cove Lake State Park.

Reports coming in to WLAF are that a car, an SUV and a county sanitation truck are involved. The SUV was said to have been struck in T-bone fashion.

At least one person was injured and was transported to a Knoxville hospital by Campbell EMS. A medical helicopter was not available to fly.

Traffic is slowed down in each direction, especially coming off the interstate. (WLAF NEWS PUBLISHED-05/14/2026-5PM)
