Laura Hatfield, age 60 of LaFollette

Mrs. Laura Hatfield, age 60 of LaFollette passed away on Sunday, April 26, 2026. She was formerly employed as an LPN at several area nursing facilities, and dearly loved working in her flower garden. Laura had a passion for traveling, especially to the beaches of Florida, was devoted to her family, and her grandchildren’s biggest cheerleader. She is preceded in death by her father, J.B. Nelson.

She is survived by her husband of nearly 41 years, Timothy Jack Hatfield, Sr.; son, Timothy Jack Hatfield, Jr. and wife, Amber; daughters, Laura Draughn and husband, Daniel, and Jennifer Chapman; grandchildren, Savannah and Sarah Hatfield, Nathaniel, Michael, and Taylor Draughn, and Jesse and Jace Chapman; great-grandchildren, Evan, Alika, and Zalen Draughn; mother, Ann Knight; and sister, Patricia Damewood-Douglas.

The family will receive friends on Tuesday, April 28, 2026 from 6:00 – 8:00 PM at Walters Funeral Home Chapel. Funeral Services will be held at 8:00 PM with Roger Hilliard officiating. Family and friends will meet on Wednesday, April 29, 2026, 10:30 AM at Walters Funeral Home and proceed to Powell Valley Cemetery for 11:00 AM Graves Services and Interment.
