CAMPBELL COUNTY, TN (SPECIAL TO WLAF)- A Hazard Mitigation Plan meeting is planned for May at the offices of the Campbell County Chamber of Commerce.

Dear Community Members and Stakeholders,

You are cordially invited to participate in an upcoming Hazard Mitigation Plan meeting. This meeting will bring together community partners, local officials, subject matter experts, and interested residents to review and discuss important components of our hazard mitigation planning efforts.

The purpose of this meeting is to:

• Review and update our community’s risk assessment
• Identify and prioritize hazard mitigation projects
• Evaluate existing mitigation strategies and goals
• Discuss National Flood Insurance Program (NFIP) participation and compliance
• Gather input to strengthen our long-term resilience efforts

Your knowledge, experience, and perspective are vital to ensuring that our Hazard Mitigation Plan accurately reflects current risks and community priorities. The planning process relies heavily on stakeholder engagement to develop practical, cost-effective, and locally supported mitigation actions.
