Caryville could have a vice mayor as of tonight

Town of Caryville monthly meeting is Monday at 6pm at the Municipal Building

CARYVILLE, TN (WLAF)- The Town of Caryville Board of Mayor and Aldermen could have a new vice mayor tonight. At last month’s meeting, Mayor Beth Lawson made a motion for Aldermen Josh Monday to serve as vice mayor, however the motion died for lack of a second. Tonight at the monthly meeting the topic is back on the agenda.

The board will vote on Resolution 1145 authorizing the rollover of a CD, the annual contract approval with the East Tennessee Development District and an ordinance amending the fiscal year 2025-26 budget.

Two capital outlay items are on the budget for approval as well. The first is the purchase of a new brush truck, next is an automobile extraction tool. (WLAF NEWS PUBLISHED-04/13/2026-6AM)
