Thursday marks first dip in gas prices since early January

Until Thursday, the price of gas had gone up $1.37 since the first of the year

LAFOLLETTE, TN (WLAF)- For the first time since January 6, the price of gasoline slipped three-cents on Thursday afternoon. We’re paying $3.56 a gallon for regular unleaded gasoline.

A year ago, gas cost us $2.56 a gallon, a dollar more than today. The price was $1.99 a gallon in April 2016.
