Big summer ahead for Campbell High’s Kendal Cowan

Cowan is on track to become a veterinarian 

CAMPBELL COUNTY, TN (WLAF)- Campbell County High School Junior Kendal Cowan has been accepted into the University of Tennessee’s Veterinary Summer Experience Program (VSEP).

This is a six-week immersive experience designed for high school students interested in becoming veterinarians, according to Olivia Lobertini, Post-Secondary Coordinator at CCHS.

“This is a pipeline program to build real veterinary hours and network. She will spend five weeks working at actual veterinarian clinics and one week on campus. It is very competitive, and we are so proud of Kendal,” said Lobertini. (WLAF NEWS PUBLISHED-04/09/2026-6AM-PHOTO SUBMITTED)
