Campbell wins impressively over the Red Devils at Halls

KNOXVILLE, TN (WLAF)- Coach Rusty Fields’ Cougar Tennis team is atop the District 3-AA standings after winning 7-2 on Monday over the Red Devils at Halls. “That was a big win for us,” said Coach Fields.
Will Croley, Davide Marcosano, Hunter Dotson, and Braxton Fox all recorded singles wins while the Cougars swept three doubles matches. Doubles partners of Croley and Marcosano (8-1), Malachi Meisel and Dotson (8-4) and Jack Stooksbury and Fox (8-6) came away with wins.
Campbell sits atop the 3-AA standings with Halls and Oak Ridge. The Cougars won over Halls on Monday and defeated Oak Ridge 8-1 back on March 9, on the tennis courts at Jackson Square. Next week’s winner between Halls and O-R will be tied with Campbell for first place in the district, and the Cougars and that winner will play for the District 3-AA Tournament Championship on April 22.
“The Lady Cougars had a rough night. We had several players out, and we lost,” said Fields.
