Boys & Girls Club ribbon cutting for Campbell County Club is Thu., April 16, 4pm

LAFOLLETTE, TN (SPECIAL TO WLAF)- Boys & Girls Clubs of the Tennessee Valley (BGCTNV) is proud to announce the official ribbon-cutting ceremony for Boys & Girls Club of Campbell County. The event will take place on Thursday, April 16, at 4:00 p.m. at the Club’s facility located at 711 South 4th Street, LaFollette, TN 37766.
While the Club opened its doors on January 6 and has already seen tremendous success in its first months of operation, this ceremony serves as a formal celebration of the community-wide effort required to bring this vital resource to Campbell County. Local board members, community leaders, and supporters will gather to mark this milestone in ensuring a safe, productive environment for area youth.
“The opening of this club has absolutely been a dream come true. Holding the door open for the children as they got off the bus and ran inside on our opening day was one of the best moments of my life,” said Bill Jones, President of Boys & Girls Club of Campbell County Advisory Committee. “The support we’ve received across the board has been humbling. Our community came together to make this happen. It’s been so uplifting to see something positive – something I know will have a huge positive impact on the lives of these children.”

The establishment of the Campbell County Club was made possible through the collective spirit of the region, including a significant contribution from ORNL Federal Credit Union. Their instrumental support helped bridge the gap to make the Club a reality for local families.
“At ORNL Federal Credit Union, we believe in investing in the future of the communities we serve,” said Jennifer Kouchis, Chief Strategy & Growth Officer. “Supporting Boys & Girls Club of Campbell County was a natural fit for our mission, and we are honored to play a part in providing a space where kids can learn, grow, and thrive.”
Boys & Girls Club of Campbell County is part of the BGCTNV family, which serves more than 8,400 youth across East Tennessee each year. The community is invited to attend the ceremony, tour the facility, and learn more about the programs offered to local youth.
