U.S. Army Corps of Engineers Boat Ramp at Nashville serves as training venue for tactical operators training

NASHVILLE, TN (WLAF)- Tennessee Wildlife Resources Agency (TWRA) game wardens will be taking part in a tactical operators training course this afternoon in Middle Tennessee.

Today, instructors with the National Association of State Boating Law Administrators (NASBLA) will be delivering a unique class to TWRA game wardens. The TOC (Tactical Operator Course) gives game wardens an enhanced course on skills that help them protect maritime assets and ports. TWRA is the lead agency when it comes to the safety and security of our state’s waterways. This enhanced operator training will provide game wardens with the necessary skills and techniques to deal with waterborne threats, enforce exclusionary zones, and bolster the capabilities of maritime safety.

TWRA Lt. Col. Matt Majors serves as the contact for today’s event which is being held at the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers Boat Ramp on Bell Road at Nashville. The class runs from 2pm until 4pm ET. (WLAF NEWS PUBLISHED-03/19/2026-6AM)
