Alert detective arrests wanted man at a store

Sunday afternoon at the Dollar General Store

CARYVILLE, TN (WLAF)- Caryville Police Detective Jacob Fox was on regular patrol when he spotted a man wanted by multiple law enforcement agencies.

Around 4:30 Sunday afternoon, Det. Fox pulled through the parking lot of the Dollar General Store when he located David Clear. The detective was aware that Clear was wanted by La Follette Police and the Campbell Sheriff’s Office.

Clear was placed under arrest and transported to the county jail.

Clear, 34, 155 Rockwaller Lane-Jacksboro, was wanted for theft of property under a thousand dollars, driving without a license, texting while driving, possession of drug paraphernalia and possession of schedule I. (WLAF NEWS PUBLISHED-02/25/2026-6AM)
