Six agencies respond to Wednesday morning house fire

ROCKY TOP, TN (WLAF)- The initial call of someone seeing heavy smoke came in to Central Dispatch around 9:15 Wednesday morning. A neighbor on Oak Grove Road first spotted the smoke.

“When our firefighters arrived, the home was fully involved,” said Dylan Roach, Chief of the Ridgewood Volunteer Fire Department. Crews started an offensive attack to suppress the fire, according to the chief.
Mutual aid was requested. Firefighters and units from Campbell County Rural Fire Service, Caryville Volunteer Fire Department and Jacksboro Fire Department soon arrived.
Four firefighters came from the CVFD, one from Jacksboro and two from the CCRFS to help battle the blaze.
