Timothy Collingsworth, Cheyenne White and Calvin Raynor are promoted

Three promotions were approved. First was the promotion of Timothy Collingsworth ,left, to full time detective sergeant. Next was the promotion of Cheyenne White to sergeant, middle, and finally the promotion of Calvin Raynor, right, to a full time dispatcher.

LAFOLLETTE, TN (WLAF)- In less than 15 minutes, yesterday afternoon the LaFollette City Council worked through the agenda of its regular monthly meeting.

A final reading of Ordinance 2026-01 abandoning a portion of West Kentucky Ave., within the corporate city limits of LaFollette and Resolution 2026-02 pertaining to construction usage on TAP grant #2 sidewalk project on North Tennessee Avenue were approved.

The year end June 30, 2025, audit was approved. However, prior to the vote, Councilman Mark Hoskins told the council that he and Councilman Chuck Queener felt the audit should be given to the council 30 days prior to being presented at the workshop. They feel enough time is not given to review the audit by the council. Finance Director Terry Sweat reported this was something they could do moving forward.
