Central Avenue and Jacksboro Pike are priorities for La Follette Public Works

A look at the heart of town at 1pm Saturday.

LAFOLLETTE, TN (WLAF)- City of LaFollette. Public Works is working diligently to remove snow from City streets. Central Avenue and Jacksboro Pike are a priority to keep cleared for emergency traffic.

Public works will then turn its focus on the secondary streets in the City.

The continuous snow fall and extremely cold temperatures are making it difficult to remove the snow.

City of La Follette Fire and Police Departments are on standby for any emergencies.

“We at the City urge all citizens not to travel unless it’s an emergency that way our public works crews can continue to clear the streets. Stay safe and warm,” said City Administrator Stan Foust. (WLAF NEWS PUBLISHED-01/31/2026-1PM)
