Hazel Janet Hovater age 99 of LaFollette passed away on Saturday January 24, 2026. She was a member of Coolidge First Baptist Church. She was Preceded in death by her Husband: William Thomas Hovater, Son: William Larkin Hovater, 

Grandson: Maddox Belew, Parents: Hobert and Mae Roach Miller, Brothers and Sisters: Theodore “Ted”, Cecil , Paris “Pete”, Clarence, Bill Delap, Hoover, Roy Marvin Miller, Betty Cox, Beatrice Cox, Maxine Bullock, Clautee Miller, Edith Longmire

Survivors:

Daughter: Cheryl Bean.

Son: Robert Hovater (Donna).

9 Grandchildren and Several Great-Grandchildren.

Brother: Brian Miller.

Sister: Opal Fontella Bogan.

Several Nieces, Nephew, other family, and friends.

The family will receive friends from 12:00PM-1:30PM Saturday January 31, 2026, with funeral services to follow in the Chapel of Cross-Smith Funeral Home with Rev. Chuck Kohlmeyer Officiating. Friends and family will proceed to Woodlawn Cemetery for a Graveside and Interment Service.
