Saturday weather delivered but not quite to the extreme most thought it would

Saturday evening in Downtown Lafollette and the snow has changed over to frozen pellets and temps were dropping, and as you can see in the images, the traffic is at a very low volume.

However, not all things came to a halt. Lafollette Police Officer Cheyenne White and the other officers on her shift were still responding to calls.

With the Public Works Department, Jared Dobbs was still plowing snow and spreading salt around the city late Saturday afternoon.

The maintenance crew at Lafollette Medical Center were still working to keep the ER entrance clear and safe.

So far it looks like we have a light amount of snow fall compared to what was predicted earlier this week, but it’s not over. Dangerously cold weather is ahead. (WLAF NEWS PUBLISHED-01/25/2026-8AM)
