Cordilia Lorene Leach, age 86

Cordilia Lorene Leach, age 86, went home to be with the Lord on January 20, 2026. She was born on May 2, 1939, to the late John E. and Leona Nelson Cordell. Lorene was a beloved member of East LaFollette Baptist Church where she was a charter member and treasurer of the senior ministry affectingly known as the Jolly Hearts.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband of 63 years, Ed Leach; brothers, Ralph Cordell, James Cordell, Kenneth Cordell, and Evan Cordell; sisters, Jean Cordell, Lucille Vincent, Naomi King, and Dorothy Tackett.

Lorene is survived by her son, Garry Wayne Leach of Knoxville; daughter, Cheryl Ann Cox and husband James of Topeka, Kansas; grandchildren, Tara Leach and Daniel Overton and Jamie Bunch and husband, Aaron; great grandchildren, Hunter, Ansley, Danni, Morgan, Dylan, Macy, and Levi; and a host of other friends and relatives.

The family will receive friends on Friday, January 30, 2026, at Martin Wilson Funeral Home from 12:00 to 1:00 PM with the funeral service to follow at 1:00 PM with Rev. Jacob Cochran officiating. Interment to follow at Fincastle Cemetery.
