Central Dispatch gets call at 7:30 Thursday night. I-75 is back open near Jellico.

There were no injuries in this two-big rig wreck on I-75.

JELLICO, TN (WLAF)- Several agencies responded to a multi-commercial vehicle crash on I-75 Thursday night on Jellico Mountain. Two tractor-trailers wrecked on the northbound side of the interstate at Mile Marker 154.4, about six miles south of Jellico.

Northbound traffic on I-75 was temporarily backed up for miles.

The northbound left lane of two lanes was blocked along with the left shoulder. As a result northbound traffic was significantly delayed for hours. The interstate was completely reopened around 4:30am Friday.

The Tennessee Highway Patrol is investigating the mishap.

Aside from the THP, responding agencies included the Jellico Rescue Squad, Campbell EMA and EMS along with Sheriff’s Deputies.
