That will be Friday, December 12, from 6pm to 9pm, at Mercy Church

LAFOLLETTE, TN (SPECIAL TO WLAF)- The holiday season is a time for joy, generosity, and coming together as a community—and this year, the members of Mercy Church are excited to host a Free Community Christmas Shop created especially for families in need of a little extra cheer.

This one-day event will open its doors to parents and caregivers, offering gently used kids’ toys, coats, shoes, and more—completely free of charge on Friday, December 12, from 6pm to 9pm, at Mercy Church. Every item has been donated with love by members of the community, and the goal is simple, and that is to make sure every child feels the magic of Christmas, and every family feels supported.

What to expect at the Christmas Shop

 • Gently used toys for kids of all ages

 • Warm coats and jackets just in time for winter

 • Kids’ shoes in a variety of sizes

 • A welcoming, festive atmosphere created by volunteers

 • Friendly faces ready to help you browse and pick out what your family needs

This event is designed to give families the dignity of choosing items that suit their children best—just like shopping, but without the cost. Whether you’re looking for gifts to place under the tree or warm essentials for the colder months, the Christmas Shop is here to help.

How you can help

If you’d like to support the Christmas Shop, the church is still accepting donations of gently used toys, coats, and shoes.

Together, Christmas will be a little brighter for every child.

The last day to make a donation is Mon., Dec. 8.
