Lady Cougars at six, Cougars at 7:30 as Scott visits Brown Gym; watch on Lindsay’s video player

JACKSBORO, TN (WLAF)- Fresh off holiday tournament wins on Saturday, the Campbell Cougars and Lady Cougars are ready to resume their regular season schedule tonight on John R.W. Brown Court. Next door neighbor rival the Scott Highlanders pay a non-district visit.

“We are looking forward to the challenge,” said Cougar Head Coach Ernie Clawson. Scott County has a veteran team with an exceptional player in the post at about 6-4. He is a left handed kid that can shoot and play off the bounce. He is surrounded by a group of high IQ guards that penetrate and shoot really well, according to the coach.

“We will have to keep the ball in front of us and not rely heavily on our help, so we don’t give them easy looks from three,” said Clawson.

“We’re excited to play tonight after a good practice yesterday. We are learning a lot of new stuff right now, and I am excited to see how much we have grown in the first month. It should be a fun game tonight, because Scott likes to pressure and shoot threes,” said Lady Cougar Head Coach Jason Kitts.

The Cougars and Lady Cougars return home to face Scott this evening.
