Background:

Earlier this month, InterFaith moved its operations from multiple sites around Knoxville to a single, convenient healthcare facility located at 7005 Middlebrook Pike. The new 25,000 square-foot health center allows InterFaith to provide all of its comprehensive healthcare services under a single roof.

“We are so proud of our new facility, and so thankful to all of the public and private partners who came together to provide a new home for InterFaith Health Center,” said InterFaith Executive Director Melissa Knight. “I think our patients, community partners, and the public will be impressed when they get a chance to see this beautiful facility during the open house.”

The new location allows InterFaith to enhance its mental health services with group therapy, while adding additional therapists and creating a dedicated space for a psychiatrist. Medical exam rooms have nearly double from eight to 15, with dedicated rooms for dermatology, ophthalmology, ultrasound, X-ray and gynecology. Dental services have expanded from seven to 15 exam rooms plus an onsite dental lab that helps accommodate increasing patient demand. InterFaith’s new Wellness and Education area also includes a food pantry and extended Healthy Lifestyles Kitchen with more space for workforce-development programming and other social services.
