In Chambers resignation letter, he states, “it has been an honor to serve the people of Caryville again, but there have been some changes in my schedule that doesn’t allow me to fully commit to the position, and I would rather step aside than to be limited in serving.”

Chambers goes on to say that he has full confidence in Beth Lawson moving from vice mayor to mayor. “She has the experience and skillset to move the town forward, and I am excited for her in taking this new opportunity” according to Chambers resignation letter. (WLAF NEWS PUBLISHED-11/17/2025-6AM)
