Caryville leaders half-way into initial interviewing process

A final hiring decision anticipated by mid-December for town administrator

CARYVILLE, TN (WLAF)- In July, the Town of Caryville began discussing the qualifications and process for filling the newly established position of town administrator. The board formally approved the creation of the role in August.

On Thursday afternoon, the Caryville Board of Mayor and Aldermen conducted two virtual interviews. This afternoon, they are scheduled to interview two additional candidates. Each interview is expected to last approximately 45 minutes and will follow a set of predetermined questions.

Once today’s interviews conclude, the board will select two finalists for in-person interviews. These could tentatively be completed by Thanksgiving, with a final hiring decision anticipated by mid-December. (WLAF NEWS PUBLISHED-11/03/2025-6AM)
