Wlaf1450‘Halls is one of the top teams in our region’- Campbell Head Football Coach Taylor Ownbey
JACKSBORO, TN (WLAF)- After a week away from practice and game action, the Campbell County Cougars are back on the practice field and ready for their next game which will be Friday against Halls.
The Halls Red Devils, like the Cougars, started their season with three straight losses. The Devils are 3 & 4 while the Cougars are 0 & 8. Halls has won three of its last four games and has wins over Region 3-AAAAA Knoxville West and is coming off a last second loss to Knoxville Central.
“The players have done a great job coming back-in focused and ready to compete, especially coming off fall break. The seniors are doing a great job leading our team into the last two weeks of our season,” said Campbell Head Coach Taylor Ownbey.
“Halls is a great football team. They are very well coached and play at a high level in all three phases of the game. We look forward to another great atmosphere here at home on Friday night,” said Ownbey.
Kick-off is set for 7pm Friday. WLAF has all the live coverage beginning at 6:30pm.
