JACKSBORO, TN. (WLAF)- Two airport project change orders, grant applications and contract agreements were approved by county commissioners at Monday’s regular monthly meeting.

The change orders to the airport mega project were to reduce the overall contract amount by $61,951.56 and to increase the project completion period by 40 days from July 2, 2025, to August 11, 2025. This came recommended by the airport committee. Airport Committee Chairman Scott Stanfield clarified for information purposes that for the county to be able to decrease the contract amount, there had to be a change order, but it is actually in favor of the county.

“It’s still a change order, but it’s a good change order, because we are getting money back,” Orick said.

Commissioners also approved payment to PGA Inc. in the amount of $250,550.92.

According to the motion approved, this represents the remaining balance on PGA pay ap number 8 and PGA pay ap number 9, after payment was made on October 10, 2025, to PGA subcontractors and suppliers by dual party checks issued by Campbell County on behalf of PGA, Inc.

“We are paying them directly, and this takes care of the work already done,” Commissioner Dewayne Baird clarified. Bruce said yes, it did.

In other business, a contract was approved between Provision and Cloud Connect for the Campbell County Board of Education, it was a BOE cyber security contract and the purchase and subscription services agreement are with Raptor Technologies and Campbell County BOE.

Also approved was the trade of a 2020 Dodge Durango from the Sheriff’s Department to the property assessor’s office and a 2017 Jeep Renegade from the property assessor’s office to the sheriff’s department.

The 2026 legislative agenda was approved as recommended by the legislative affairs committee.

Commissioners also approved the EMS Director to apply for an EMS equipment grant for 25,000 that if received will not cost the county any matching funds.

Also approved was for the 2025-2026 Airport maintenance grant.

Two people were replaced on the county’s Agriculture committee at Monday’s commission meeting. Wesley Wells and Barbara Parks came off the board due to their time being up and Jamie Ball and Tyler Green were added to the board. (WLAF NEWS PUBLISHED 10/22/2025-6AM)
