Caryville poised to pay off nearly $200,000 note

CARY VILLE, TN (WLAF)- The Caryville Board of Mayor and Aldermen meets tonight at six o’clock at the town municipal building. There are five items of new business on the agenda. 

First the board is slated to approve the first reading of Ordinance No. 2025-08 to modify Title 18 waters and sewers of the Caryville Municipal Code by removing the reference to division of water pollution control from 18-103(3) and replacing with division of water resources, removing reference to 40 CFR 403.12(a) from section 18-103(51)(b) and adding reference to 40 CFR 403.8(f)(1)(vi)(A) minimal criminal penalty of $1,000 a day for each violation by an industrial user to section 18-205(10). 

Next the board will discuss the personnel policy. Then the board will discuss approving the Cannon and Cannon invoice in the amount of $14,700.00 for Caryville Cares Playground Phase Two.  A discussion of paying off the Builtwell Bank paving loan in the amount of $190,775.40 is on the agenda.

The last item for discussion is applying for the James L. Richardson Driver Matching Grant and adopting Resolution No: 2025-05.
