Department of finance accepting sealed bids on sale of 2022 Caterpillar 315 Excavator

JACKSBORO, TN. (WLAF)- The Campbell County Department of Finance is hereby accepting sealed bids on the sale of a 2022 Caterpillar 315 Excavator, Serial # J3647853 that has been declared surplus by the County Commission.

INVITATION TO BID

The Campbell County Department of Finance is hereby accepting sealed bids on the sale of a 2022 Caterpillar 315 Excavator, Serial # J3647853 that has been declared surplus by the County Commission.  Minimum bid requirement: $8,500.  Bids below that amount will not be considered.

Interested bidders can view the excavator Monday – Friday from 8:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m. at 745 Towe String Road, Jacksboro, TN 37757 or by contacting David Adkins, Environmental Director at (423) 562-1811. 

Sealed bids are due by 10:00 a.m. on October 24, 2025 at which time they will be opened and read aloud.  Bids must be effective for 90 days after bid opening.  All bids are to be mailed or hand carried to the Campbell County Department of Finance, P.O. Box 843, Jacksboro, TN 37757.  Campbell County reserves the right to reject any and all bids.  All sealed bids must be noted on outside of envelope as bid for “Surplus Excavator Bid”. 

Payment for the surplus excavator must be made by cash, certified check or money order, no personal checks will be accepted.  Payment must be made to the county within three (3) days of notice of bid award.
