George Stiner age 84 of LaFollette

George Stiner age 84 of LaFollette passed away on Saturday September 13, 2025. George was a long-time member of Forks Grove Baptist Church and a retired carpenter. He enjoyed spending time with children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wife: Daisy Lou Stiner, parents: Clifford (Zeke) Stiner and Ethel Stiner, brother: Max Stiner and great granddaughter Addison Stiner.

Son: Billy Stiner and wife Sharon,

Daughter: Jilanda Stiner,

Grandchildren: Chris Stiner and wife Joni, Clifford (Brance) Stiner and wife Alise,

Great-Grandchildren: Zeke Stiner, Kale Stiner, Carter Stiner, Boone Stiner, and Finn Stiner, 

Sister: Bonnie (Stiner) McCullah and husband Bill.

Special Friend: Ann Schwartz

And many nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.

George will be sorely missed by his family and friends. He was known as a “cutup” and he kept everyone entertained.

Special thanks to his hospice nurse Elizabeth Phillips Seibers and the nursing staff at Oak Ridge Hospital for going above and beyond to take care of our beloved George.

The family will receive friends on Tuesday September 16, 2025, from 1:00PM-3:00PM at Forks Grove Baptist Church with a service to follow at 3:00PM Officiated by Rev. Ronnie Poston.

Family and friends will then proceed to Fincastle Cemetery following the funeral service for a Graveside and Interment Service.
