Nokia is this week’s “Pet of the Week”

JACKSBORO, TN (SPECIAL TO WLAF)- Meet Nokia. This petite angel is the definition of resilience, goal achieving, forgiveness, strength, trust and determination. She faced a massive wall of health issues and without the Campbell County Animal Shelter, she would never have survived. Nokia was covered in mange, had been terribly injured by a coyote trap, she was dehydrated, malnourished and starved of love. Immediately the phenomenal staff at the shelter started working with her, rehabilitated and healed her but also taught her to trust humans. This precious girl has bounced back like no human could ever do.

Nokia is a like your favorite jellybean and you just want to eat her up over and over again. Nokia is a mix of positive, Staffordshire Terrier, kindness, Parson Russell, whimsical, Border Collie, tenderness and maybe some whippet. Her precious face shines like the morning sun and you just want to cover her with kisses.

She is approximately three to four months old and weighs 25 pounds. She has a short black and white coat that is healing and glistening and shines of pure beauty. Nokia has forgotten the battle she has faced and needs a family to love her for as long as she is on this earth. She needs a fenced in yard so she can run, bounce and play. She needs basic skill guidance on potty training, and leash walking. She is extremely excited to get some much needed snuggles and kissing time. She is looking for exposure to how wonderful the world can be when you are with your best friend. This special little flower is ready to be a part of your family and is anxious to meet her best of friends to then enjoy the rest of her life.

She has been at the shelter since Aug. 5.
