County property assessor’s office has job opening

JACKSBORO, TN. (WLAF)- The Campbell County Property Assessor’s Office has a job opening for a field reviewer.

Field Reviewer Position 

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required
• Tennessee Drivers License

Responsibilities include but are not limited to

• Interpret and apply state and local property appraisal and assessment laws
• Conduct field reviews: identify, measure, and inspect properties using maps and permits
• Prepare and update detailed Property Record Cards (PRCs)
• Enter and review field data in the computerized Appraisal System
• Provide information to property owners, builders, surveyors, and realtors
• Read and interpret maps, plats, and floor plans
• Operate a computer system for data management
• Communicate with county staff, taxpayers, realtors, and legal entities as needed
• Stay current with applicable laws and attend professional development sessions
• Assist coworkers as needed

Physical Requirements

• Ability to sit at a workstation for extended periods while performing data entry and administrative tasks.
• Moderate physical effort; lifting up to 20 lbs; frequent standing, climbing, kneeling
• Working out in the county/cities to review properties in all weather conditions while driving county vehicle and also walking property to ensure record accuracy
