Truck misses hitting house

This truck traveled about 30-feet off East Beech Street.

LAFOLLETTE, TN (WLAF)- An elderly man escaped serious injury on Friday afternoon when he drove his pick-up truck off a street, down an embankment hitting another truck.

The truck on the right kept the other truck from hitting the house.

A black Nissan Frontier pick-up truck left East Beech Street in the 500 block just after 3pm and headed south down through a yard. The small truck wedged between a steep embankment, another truck and a house. Both trucks suffered damage leaving the house out of the mishap.

The mishap occured just after 3pm Friday.

La Follette Fire and Police responded.

One lane of travel was closed for the better part of an hour.
