Monday is Labor Day, lots of closings

Local, state and federal offices plus many services not in operation on Monday

CAMPBELL COUNTY, TN (WLAF)- The offices of the Towns of Caryville and Jacksboro and the City of La Follette will be closed for Labor Day on Monday, September 1, 2025. Banks, the post office, Campbell County Courthouse and all federal agencies will also be closed in observance of the holiday.

“We’ll not pick up garbage on Monday so we’ll pick up Monday’s garbage with Tuesday’s garbage,” said Casey Boshears, La Follette Public Works.

“Our offices will be closed on Monday, and there won’t be any garbage pick up,” said Dan Gearing with the Town of Jacksboro.

“Our offices will be closed Monday, and we’ll reopen on Tuesday,” said Angelita Monday, Interim City Recorder, Court Clerk/Admin for the Town of Caryville. (WLAF NEWS PUBLISHED-08/29/2025-6AM)
