More 70s and pleasant fall-like conditions today

LAFOLLETTE, TN (WLAF)- It’s the coolest August morning we’ve had since 2004 as some areas are reporting lows in the upper 40s to start this Wednesday. With dry air in place, it will warm up quickly as sunshine and a high of 75 are forecast.

You’ll want to continue to wear sunscreen and drink plenty of water, because the pleasant conditions can be deceiving. The sun is still strong, and the drier air can help dehydrate us.

Though temperatures are expected to moderate some after today, readings will still run below average (85 for a high and 64 for a low) through the term.

It’ll be mostly rain-free through the forecast period, with perhaps the best chance of returning precipitation the latter part of Labor Day weekend, but details uncertain. (WLAF NEWS PUBLISHED-08/27/2025-6AM TEXT & GRAPHIC COURTESY OF THE NWS MORRISTOWN)
