‘It was a long and exhausting day, truly one of the best experiences of my life’- Noah Smith, Delta Pilot

ATLANTA, GA (SPECIAL TO WLAF)- A flight from Atlanta to Montgomery, Alabama, about an hour covering around 150 miles, might not be that thrilling of a flight. That is unless it’s your first day on the job as a major airline pilot like it was for WLAF Alum Noah Smith.

“I’m excited to share that Monday was my first day on the line as an airline pilot! It was a long and exhausting day, but truly one of the best experiences of my lifetime. We did five trips today ranging from Montgomery to Chattanooga and ending the day in Columbus, Georgia,” said Smith.

Smith, a Campbell County High Grad, calls it an honor to be the First Officer for more than 300 of our wonderful Delta passengers. The journey is just beginning for Smith, but Monday was an incredible experience for his first day flying the CRJ700. (WLAF NEWS PUBLISHED-07/08/2025-6AM)
