Roscoe “Ross†Harmon Jr. age 88 formerly of LaFollette, Tennessee went home to be with Jesus on Friday, December 13, 2024. He was born February 26, 1936, in LaFollette to the late Roscoe Harmon Sr. and Gladys (Norman) Harmon. Roscoe attended Free Chapel in Gainesville, Georgia. Ross loved hanging out with his family, playing cornhole with his kids and grandkids, and sneaking a beer in his coffee cup thinking his daughters wouldn’t know. He enjoyed the simple things in life. As long as he had his family around, his sweets, his Beechnut tobacco, and his coffee, he was happy. Ross was an avid football fan. He loved his Tennessee Vols. He also loved the Georgia Bulldogs, but not when they were playing the Vols. Ross also loved fishing, hunting, softball, and basketball. Ross was the type of man that would help anyone that was in need. He was a very gentle and loving soul who judged no one and was kind to everyone he met. Ross had his faith and believed strongly in his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.
In addition to his parents, Ross is preceded in death by his sister, Elizabeth Williams.
Roscoe is survived by his loving children Stacy Harmon of Flower Branch, Georgia, Selena Youngblood of Pendergrass, Georgia, and Randy Harmon of Lawrenceville, Georgia; his loving grandchildren Brandon Donner, Brittany Harmon, Ryan Youngblood, Chase Youngblood and Rebecca Harmon; his ten great grandchildren and his sister Joyce Grubb of LaFollette; several nieces, nephews and a host of other relatives and friends.Â
