Cynthia Kay “Sissy” (Slover) Housley age 74 of Clinton formerly of Jacksboro entered into the presence of her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on Tuesday December 10, 2024. She was born July 3, 1950, in Knoxville to the late Millard “Ham” Slover and Betty (Stansberry) Slover. Sissy loved playing the piano and going to Pine Ridge Baptist Church where she was a member. She enjoyed watching westerns and spending time with her family, especially her grandbabies.


In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her daughter, Melissa Dawn Housley; her sister Mary Katherine Slover and her brother in law H.C. Berry.


Sissy is survived by her loving husband of 53 years George Housley of Clinton; her loving daughters Christy Rose and husband Bodie of St. Petersburg, Florida, Melanie Bullard and husband Tim of Speedwell, Michelle Garland and husband Donnie of Oliver Springs and Kayla Baird and husband Barry of Cleveland; her loving grandchildren Hannah and Clarke Bullard and her great grandchildren Maddox, Taytum, Remi, Hudson, Landon, and Laker; her brother Jerry Slover and wife Carolyn of Andersonville; her sister Ellen Berry of South Carolina; several nieces, nephews and a host of other relatives and friends.


Visitation for Cynthia “Sissy” Housley will be on Saturday December 14, 2024, at the Pine Ridge Baptist Church in Clinton from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM with her funeral service to follow at 6:00 PM with Rev. Cody Dykes and Rev. Zach Copeland officiating. Family and friends will meet at 12:15 PM on Sunday December 15, 2024, at Martin Wilson Funeral Home and go in funeral procession to Powell Valley Cemetery for a 1:00 PM interment.
