NASHVILLE, TN. (SPECIAL TO WLAF) – The Tennessee Senate Republican Caucus met on Nov. 14 in Nashville to elect Caucus leadership positions for the 114th Tennessee General Assembly, which will convene on Jan. 14, 2025. The majority caucus unanimously elected to return State Senator Ken Yager (R-Kingston) to a fourth term as Republican Caucus Chair.

“I am honored to be unanimously re-elected Republican Caucus Chairman”, said Yager. “Thank you to all of the members of the Republican Caucus for putting their full-fledged faith in me to fulfill this duty. Additionally, thank you to all of my family and friends that have supported me along this journey. This is truly an honor of a lifetime, and I will continue to fight every day for our shared conservative values.

The 27-member supermajority caucus also voted to renominate Lt. Gov. Randy McNally to a fifth term and returned Sen. Jack Johnson (R-Franklin) to his fourth term as Majority Leader. Others elected to caucus leadership positions include Sen. Bill Powers (R-Clarksville) as treasurer; Sen. Dawn White (R-Murfreesboro) as secretary; and Sen. Shane Reeves (R-Murfreesboro) as Caucus Chaplain.
