Frank Mitchell Overbey born December 3, 1971 departed from his earthly home on November 11, 2024 at The University of Tennessee Medical Center. Frank was of Baptist faith. He enjoyed anything outdoors, especially ginsenging. Frank faced many trials and tribulations in his short 52 years, but he prevailed. He was a lover of Jesus and was happy to know he’d be seeing him soon in his new Heavenly home.

Frank is preceded in death by his parents: Martha and Bart Overbey; brothers, Michael and James Farmer; sister, Mary Vinsant.

He is survived by: wife, Mary Overbey of LaFollette; daughter, Martha Broaddus and husband Brent of LaFollette; stepsons, Eddie, Casey and John Lemarr of LaFollette; brother and best friend, Timothy Overbey of Caryville; aunts, Gloria Lee and Nevonda Suttles of LaFollette; and uncle, Randall Overbey of LaFollette.

Frank is also survived by a host of nieces, nephews, and cousins who all loved and cherished his charming smile and outgoing personality.

The family would like to extend a special thanks to the nurses on 12E at UTMC, for the kindness and compassion shown during his final moments.

The family will receive friends at the Leach Family Funeral Home and Cremation on Friday, November 15, 2024 from 5-7pm with a funeral service to follow at 7pm with Pastor Robbie Leach officiating.
