JACKSBORO, TN (WLAF)- On Thursday afternoon, the Jacksboro Board of Mayor and Aldermen met for the monthly meeting. First up on the agenda was a discussion with IRTEC about the continued water drainage issues in Mt. Perkins Subdivision. Scott Bowlin with IRTEC told Mayor Shayne Green a possible solution would be to put down a four inch curb to alleviate the drainage issue. The board approved IRTEC moving forward with the project.
Resolution 370 applying for a property conversation matching grant was approved. Ordinance 134 to increase purchasing limits to $10,000 without bidding was approved.
The board approved the pay rate of $17 hour for auxiliary police officers with five plus years of experience. Â In other police business, the board accepted the resignation of Savannah Tielman.
