CAMPBELL COUNTY, TN. (WLAF)- Friends of Campbell County, TN Animals (FCCA) is proud to be a community partner with Bo’s At Indian River Marina on Norris Lake. Bo’s is a pet friendly marina located in Jacksboro near the Campbell County Animal Shelter. The marina features the Dog House Bar and Grill, water craft rentals, cottages, entertainment and the shelter dog’s favorite – Bo’s Doggie Splash Park. Also, Bo’s features a dog menu which allows customers to order a delicious Bark Bowl. Each Bark Bowl includes an entrée, ice water, treat and tennis ball. Bo’s donates $1 to FCCA for every Bark Bowl purchased.

On June 15, FCCA received a generous donation from Bo’s for $750 related to their Bark Bowl program. This financial support helps the Campbell County Animal Shelter help cover the operating costs of the shelter. They also appreciate Bo’s support for allowing shelter volunteers to bring some of the shelter dogs to their marina and Doggie Splash Park as they work collectively to help dogs find their forever home. “FCCA would like to thank Marv and Brandi Leeck for their support of FCCA and the Campbell County Animal Shelter,” said Patricia Siwinski, shelter director of FCCA. “FCCA is constantly seeking financial support to help cover the significant costs we incur in excess of the financial support provided by Campbell County to operate the animal shelter. The generosity of supporters like Bo’s and others in our community and many other supporters outside the community provide us the ability to operate the animal shelter and find homes for thousands of homeless animals every year.”

Since taking over the shelter operations in 2015, they have cared for over 24,000 animals, spay/neutered over 3,300 animals, and provided low-cost vaccines to over 4,000 animals in Campbell County. These accomplishments were achieved through the extensive new programs launched by FCCA. FCCA is pleased that these efforts have resulted in increasing the live release rate for the animals of Campbell County to 87 percent over the last three years.
