CAMPBELL COUNTY, TN. (SPECIAL TO WLAF)- Due to personal circumstances involving my father’s terminal illness, my official announcement of my candidacy was delayed. But I am now announcing the launch of my campaign. I am dedicated to this community, my family and committed to continuing to serve as your property assessor.
After serving as your Property Assessor for a successful 16 years, I am once again asking for your vote in the upcoming election. With my wealth of experience, I understand the intricacies of the role and know what it takes to excel in this demanding position.
The role of property assessor is not an easy one, requiring a unique blend of technical skills and experience. I possess both, making me the ideal candidate for the job. Your vote for me is a vote for stability, expertise, courteous service and a proven track record of success in the office. I am ready to continue serving the community with integrity, dedication and the respect you deserve!
I ask for your support in another term as Property Assessor-because when it comes to this important role, the right experience truly counts.
As we kick off the campaign today you will see us putting up signs. If you would like a yard sign, we will have them available, just stop by if you see me and the crew or we will be happy to hand deliver one to you. I am planning some Voter Appreciation events and rallies, look for those announcements in the coming days. I will be getting lots of information out on my Facebook page, WLAF, door knocking, and the newspaper. Any questions you may have I am available to answer. We are working on a day-by-day basis with the health of my dad and appreciate your prayers and understanding.

I don’t think people in general realize the actual hours that this position requires, or the complexity of dealing with property owners, how to properly measure property, homes, etc. I’m sure not all property owners are cordial. Some will be angry and others violent, as well as unknown scenarios (vacant properties), squatters, etc. This position requires someone that is dedicated, proven, and not running an additional business on the side. Education is impressive but unless you have hands on experience and have actually dealt with the entire gamete this position requires, you would fail. It’s unfortunate that the new tax assessments came out prior to the election. Our tax rate is set by our county commissioners and absolutely has nothing to do with this position. He’s only the messenger and doing exactly what is required by law. Brandon has always been a hands on man, he has integrity, honesty, and a heart to serve his community, which he has for the past 16 years. He’s got our vote and our prayers!
