Helen (Garner) Morris, age 90 of LaFollette, passed away on Sunday, May 12, 2024. She was born on October 30, 1933, to the late Leonard Garner and Martha Jane (Sellers) Garner. Helen was a member of Fordtown Baptist Church and enjoyed sewing, gardening, cooking, crossword puzzles, watching Bluebloods, and spoiling her grandkids.
In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her loving husband John T. Morris; daughter Susan Lawson; son Timothy Morris; brothers Robert, Bob, Henry, Scott, Victor, and Junior Garner; and sisters Virginia Turner, Lillian Rogers, Bonnie Ridings, Minnie Rogers, and Frankie Veals.
Helen is survived by her sons Johnny Morris and wife Kimberlee of Jacksboro, Willie Morris and wife Debbie of Powell, and Toby Morris of LaFollette; daughters Pam Morris and partner Maria of Texas, Felicia Lawson and Husband Charles of Powell; Rebecca Morris and husband Bryan of LaFollette; Kimberly Morris of Texas, and Regina Blackburn and Husband Kevin of Texas; brother Leonard Garner and wife Judy of Kentucky; 30 plus grandchildren; 45 plus great-grandchildren; 4 great-great grandchildren; and several nieces, nephews, friends, and relatives.
A visitation will be from 5:00-7:00 PM on Thursday, May 16, 2024, in the chapel of Martin Wilson Funeral Home (305 E. Beech Street, LaFollette) with the funeral service to follow at 7:00 PM with Rev. Roger Stanley officiating. Family and friends will meet at 9:15 AM on Friday, May 17, 2024, at Martin Wilson Funeral Home to go in funeral procession for a 10:00 AM interment at Campbell Memorial Gardens.
