Bobby Ray Parks, age 84, of LaFollette, passed away on Tuesday, May 7, 2024. He was a member of Woodlake Baptist Church, a US Army Veteran and a retired supervisor from the TN Dept. of Transportation after 46 years of service. Preceded in death by parents; Owen and Nellie Brock Parks and two Infant Sisters.

Family will receive friends 5-7 PM Friday, May 10th at Cross-Smith Funeral Home with funeral service at 7 PM in Cross-Smith Chapel, Rev. George Asbury and Rev. Jimmy Branscomb officiating. Family and friends will meet 12:30 PM Saturday at Cross-Smith Funeral Home and proceed to Campbell Memorial Gardens for 1:30 PM Interment.

  1. Barbara, Vera and I share your grief. Bobby was a classmate at JHS, class of 58. He impressed me academically as well as being a decent all around human being. We hung out thru all four years of HS. He helped me with my algebra for a while and finally told me that he could say with a lot of certainty that I would never be called “Mr Algebra” at JHS. He was a good friend throughout high school and someone I enjoyed being around. I will always remember him as a fine and decent. Doyle Norman, El Paso,Texas
