JACKSBORO, TN (WLAF) – Organizers with Campbell County’s newly re-established Drug Coalition Campbell United are urging area citizens to take a community assessment survey. The “purpose of the survey is to gather information on community priorities and community substance use behaviors.”

According to Campbell United, the organization “will use your valuable input to help prioritize a prevention focus for the future.”

The survey is available online by connecting HERE.

According to organizer Trent Coffey, the survey could help Campbell United secure grant funding that will be used for much needed community resources throughout the county.

“There are state and federal dollars available to us through grants and this community readiness needs assessment survey is a tool that can help us access those grant dollars. It’s short and doesn’t take long and its something we can share with all of our local non-profits and organizations to fill out,” Coffey said.

He encouraged” community members, church members, civic leaders and basically everyone” to fill out the survey.

“The more people within the community that are involved, both in this survey and in the drug coalition, the more needs we can pinpoint and more resources we can provide. We want everyone at the table and in on the discussion to help us identify those needs,” Coffey said.

Campbell United’s next meeting is Thu., May 9, at noon, at TCAT Jacksboro, located at 265 Elkins Road. Organizers encourage community leaders, nonprofits, organizations, and others to join!
